Abstract（摘 要）：

I review recent progresses in the field of analog coherent pluggable optical modules for both telco metro/regional applications as well as data center interconnect use cases. Component technologies as well as control mechanisms are examined and key parameters enabling next-gen coherent system applications are identified.

CV of Invited Speaker（报告人简介）：

Dr. Bo Zhang is currently the project lead and member of technical staff in the optical hardware departement at Juniper Networks in Sunnyvale, California. His main focus has been on enabling multi-source coherent analog optical suppliers and their integration into Juniper's packet-optical transport systems. Before joining Juniper in 2011, He was with Opnext Subsystems (formerly Stratalight Communications) in Los Gatos, CA. He obtained his Ph.D. degree from University of Southern California in 2008 and his Bachelor Degree in 2003 from Zhejiang University in China. He is the member of IEEE Photonic Society and Optical Society of America (OSA).
