报告人简介:
魏志义,1991年中科院西安光机所博士毕业,1991年-1997年中山大学博士后、副研究员,1997年迄今在中科院物理所工作。曾先后在英国卢瑟福实验室、香港中文大学与科技大学、荷兰格罗宁根大学、日本电子综合技术研究所等地访问工作。长期致力于超短脉冲激光技术与应用研究,在Nature Photonics, Phys Rev Lett, Opt Lett等SCI杂志上发表论文300余篇,国际会议邀请报告70余次。作为第一完成人获国家技术发明奖二等奖1项、省部级科技奖3项。2001年获中国科学院青年科学家奖,2002年获国家杰出青年基金,2011获胡刚复物理奖。主持了国家重大基础研究项目(973)、国家重大科学仪器设备开发专项项目、科技部科技支撑条件项目、基金委重点、重大及国际合作等重要项目。已培养毕业博士研究生40余名、硕士研究生7名;出站博士后5人。先后任国际纯粹与应用物理联合会(IUPAP)委员、马普阿秒科学中心(MPC-AS)成员、亚洲强激光委员会委员(ACUIL)。2017年当选美国光学学会会士。
Biography:
Zhiyi Wei obtained PhD from Xi’an institute of optics and fine mechanics, Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) in 1991. From 1991 to 1997, he was a postdoctoral researcher and associate professor in Sun Yat-Sen University. He joined in the Institute of Physics, CAS since 1997 and promoted as full professor in 1999 . During 1993 to 2002, he also worked at RAL in UK, the Chinese University of Hong Kong, the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, University of Groningen in the Netherland and Advanced Institute of Science and Technology in Japan as a visiting scholar and postdoctoral scientist. During the long career on ultrafast laser technology and applications, he has published more than 300 peer review papers in Nature Photonics, Phys Rev Lett, Opt Lett etc. more than 70 invited talks in international conferences. As the first contributor, he won 1 national second award on technology invention and 3 ministry second awards on science and technology. He also accepted the award for young scientist by CAS in 2001, national talent young scientist fund in 2002, Hu Gangfu award for experimental physics in 2011. We is the committee member of IUPAP, Max-Planck Center for attosecond and X-ray Science and Asian committee on ultrahigh Intensity laser. In view of his major contributions on ultrafast and ultrahigh intensity femtosecond laser community, he was selected as OSA fellow in 2017.
报告摘要:
超短激光脉冲作为激光科学与技术的重要研究内容,不仅改写了许多光学研究的新纪录,而且也推动着大量相关前沿研究的革命性进展和科学交叉。目前利用钛宝石激光啁啾脉冲放大技术(CPA),人们所能得到的激光峰值功率已达10拍瓦的量级,为加速器物理、高能物理、核物理等学科提供了新的研究手段。法国籍科学家 G.Mourou教授和他的学生D.Strickland 副教授因发明CPA技术而共享了2018年一半的诺贝尔物理奖。此外通过飞秒激光与物质相互作用产生的高次谐波,人们在极紫外波段得到了短于50阿秒的最短脉冲世界纪录。本报告将结合报告人研究团队在超快超强激光研究方面的新进展,综述介绍利用该激光已取得并可能进一步开展的前沿应用。
Abstract:
Ultrafast intense laser has been recognized as one of the most promised field in laser science, it has not only broken many new world record in optical technology, but also made the remarkable progresses in frontier applications and disciplines cross. Up to now, ultra-intense laser with peak power up to 10 PW has been reported based on the technology chirped pulse amplification (CPA), which enable us the cutting edge platforms for particular acceleration, high energy physics etc., In 2018, G. Mourou and D. Strickland won the Noble Prize for the invention of CPA. In addition to, the shortest laser pulse of shorter than 50as has been generated at the wavelength in XUV range based on the high harmonic generation (HHG)driven by femtosecond intense laser pulse. In this talk, I will introduce the recent development on ultrafast intense laser and new progresses in my group. The further development and potential applications will be also prospected.
